On February 17 and 18, 2024, the Mount Vernon Amateur Radio Club was back at the greenhouse at George Washington’s Mount Vernon, putting K4US on the air to celebrate President Washington’s 292nd birthday.
We had stations running on 40 meters inside the greenhouse, antennas going up out in the parking area, and plenty of members coming and going all weekend. The palms and citrus trees made it feel like spring even with the cold outside. Thank you to everyone who came out to operate and help, and to all the stations who called in.
