For ARRL Field Day on June 22 and 23, 2024, the Mount Vernon Amateur Radio Club set up camp in the woods at Pohick Bay Regional Park.
It was a hot one. The thermometer hit 95 and then 97 degrees, but we kept the stations running under the canopies and the picnic shelter with plenty of fans and cold drinks. We had tents, portable antennas on masts, laptops logging, and members operating, setting up and visiting all weekend. Thank you to everyone who came out and stuck it out in the heat.
