Presented by the Mount Vernon Amateur Radio Club: Club President Corey recently met with Trail Life Club leader Lancer to donate a set of classic semaphore signaling flags.
Before digital radio, semaphore flags were a vital tool for sending line-of-sight emergency messages using distinct arm positions. MVARC is proud to support local youth in building emergency preparedness and outdoor skills. We can’t wait to see the Trail Life crew practicing their signaling on their next big adventure!
