One of the biggest weekends of the year on the HF bands is almost here. The CQ World Wide DX Contest, SSB, runs from 0000 UTC Saturday, October 24, to 2359 UTC Sunday, October 25. Here on the East Coast, that is 8 PM Friday until just before 8 PM Sunday.
The goal is simple: work as many stations in as many CQ zones and countries as you can on 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters. The exchange is just a signal report and your CQ zone. Even if you are not chasing a score, it is a great weekend to put new countries in your log.
