Today I want to point you toward a blog I really enjoyed digging into: W2DIY, written by Daniel. He calls himself a newly licensed Amateur Extra who is still figuring it all out, one contact at a time, and that honesty is what makes it such a good read for anyone just getting started.
His posts are sorted into fun sections like a Learning Log, POTAble Adventures and Want 2 Do It Yourself. One highlight is his write-up on giving his first talk, on Meshtastic off-grid mesh networks, at Ham Radio University on Long Island. The crowd was big enough that they moved him to the auditorium, and he stuck around afterward helping folks set up their own devices.
He also shared his first trip to the HOPE hacking convention. If you like seeing the hobby through fresh eyes, give Daniel a visit and some encouragement.
