Halloween comes early for CW fans. The 29th annual Zombie Shuffle runs this Friday, October 30, from 3 PM local time until local midnight. It is a casual, CW-only event for QRP stations running 5 watts or less on 80 through 10 meters, with the WARC bands left out. Suggested frequencies include the QRP watering holes on 7.030, 14.060 and 3.560 MHz.
The exchange is RST, your state, province or country, a Zombie Number (or your three-digit area code) and a Zombie Name, so pick a spooky one. You can work the same station on each band every two hours, and bonus stations send 4321. It is a relaxed way to practice code with a small rig.
