If you have been looking for a friendly club out in western Loudoun, put the Loudoun Amateur Radio Group, K4LRG, on your list. Their next regular meeting is on the 2026 schedule for Saturday, November 21, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on West Market Street in Leesburg. Meetings fall on the third Saturday and start promptly at 0830, so bring your coffee early.
What I like about this group is how much they do between meetings. They run regular nets, there is an informal Monday lunch get-together, and the club lends its radio skills to local public-service events like the Lovettsville Oktoberfest and the Reston Century bike ride. Their page says it plainly: everyone is welcome.
